About
My name is Musu-kulla , I am a mother of 3. I worked in the medical field and have been a freelance model in the Boston Metro area for over 25 years.
On December 21, 2011 I was diagnosed with a ductal carcinoma in my right breast and on September 27, 2018 in my left. I decided to have a mastectomy both times.
In my journey, I realized the majority of those that I've met, stricken with breast cancer, living and gone, had been older than I was when I was first diagnosed. I asked myself, “were there signs that they may have missed?” This inspired me to spark awareness about the disease. Having been diagnosed at 34, I believe the medically recommended age of 40, for breast cancer screenings should be lowered.
Believing that the health of the mind determines the health of the body, Listen To Your Body is comprised of a group of women of African and Caribbean descent who support the health and well-being of our communities.
While we search for a cure, we want people of all ages to be more aware of their bodies so that there are more survivors, and less cancer diagnoses at stages beyond which they can be successfully treated.
We want the community to know if you can't change the fate of having cancer, take the steps to change the fate of your survival.
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!

Stronger & better
No stopping the warrior
Our Mission
Listening to your body is vital to everyone’s health. Sharing is vital to everyone’s awareness.
Listen To Your Body is committed to bringing awareness to unfamiliar factors when being screened for breast cancer through mammograms, then connecting the community, other survivors, and their families to available allies, resources and services that allow them to get back into their everyday routines or create new ones.
Believing that the health of the mind determines the health of the body, we want to encourage the community to Listen To Your Body.

Our Vision
To encourage the community to Listen To Their Bodies.
