  • Mortality Rate: 40% higher than White women.

  • Incidence Rate: Similar overall to White women, but higher under age 60.

  • Triple-Negative Breast Cancer: 1 in 5 Black women diagnosed; more aggressive and harder to treat.

  • Survival Rates: Lowest 5-year survival rate among all racial/ethnic groups.

  • Age and Stage at Diagnosis: More likely to be diagnosed younger and at a more advanced stage


 These statistics underscore the importance of targeted interventions and support for Black women to address these disparities in breast cancer outcomes.
